It has been a longer "summer" than usual this year with Ramadan moving into the June month and as usual we usually mark the end of the this slower summer period with the Citiscape Event which we had in early September.
Its has certainly been interesting 9 months of the year with Property prices dropping a further 5/6% this year in Sales and slightly less for the rentals. The amount of sales transaction within this period has also been low.
In the past few months however sales and rentals have been at a level to keep the prices pretty stable with prices noticeably hitting a “plateau“ with the majority of Palm Jumeirah sales occurring at either Golden Mile, Marina Residences or Shoreline over the last 9 months (as per DLD - Dubai Land Dept statistics)
With prices where they are and rentals not dropping at the same rate it has become more attractive for investors with higher yields and more attractive for end users to enter the market. We anticipate the next 6 months to be more of the same with prices staying stable.
